This has been, without exaggeration, the best medical experience I’ve ever had. I had put off getting an ADHD assessment for years due to NHS waiting lists and some hesitation about going private. What ultimately led me to Harley Street Mental Health were the consistently strong reviews, the availability of next-day appointments, and pricing that was far more reasonable than many other private clinics. I did initially assume there might be a catch .. there wasn’t. I booked and paid for my assessment on 2 December, and had my full assessment the very next day, 3 December. From the outset, the admin team were outstanding. Every email I sent was replied to within minutes, with clear, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful responses. Everything felt organised, efficient, and reassuring. My assessment was with Dr Sijjad Ijaz, and he was exceptional. It it felt far more like a natural conversation with a therapist or trusted friend than a formal clinical interrogation. He was calm, approachable, and genuinely easy to talk to, which immediately put me at ease. Rather than firing off rigid questions or ticking boxes, he listened carefully, asked thoughtful follow-up questions, and allowed the conversation to flow in a way that helped me explain things openly and honestly. It was the first time I’ve ever felt truly heard and understood in a medical setting. Dr Ijaz explained the diagnosis clearly and thoughtfully, and the next day, I received a very detailed, personalised written report. He also took the time to explain the medication options and why my prescribed medication was the most appropriate choice for me. The pharmacy contacted me on 5 December, and my medication arrived promptly the following day on 6 December. Importantly, the quality of care did not drop off once medication started. During the titration phase, when I emailed with updates and questions on 11 December, I received a response within minutes. My blood pressure, heart-rate readings, and side-effects were reviewed, discussed with the doctors, and my dose was safely adjusted the same day with clear guidance. Later, when I contacted the team on 15 December regarding prescription timing around the Christmas closure, they again responded in under 5 minutes. At no point did I feel left on my own - support during titration was just as strong as during the assessment itself. From start to finish, the experience has been smooth, transparent, and genuinely supportive. The combination of an excellent clinician, an exceptionally responsive administrative team, and a clear, well-structured clinical process sets Harley Street Mental Health apart.

I recently was seen by Dr Sijjad Ijaz for an ADHD assessment. The process was extremely straightforward, and he was great in our 1 to 1 assessment at making me feel relaxed and comfortable. He was very thorough with his explanation of the process and the steps following the assessment meeting - we also had a couple of good laughs during our conversation which is always nice! All in all I’ve been extremely happy.

The team at Harley Street Mental Health were very responsive and accommodating with a last minute change in appointment. They were able to allocate me to a next-day appointment very quickly. My consultation with Dr Ijaz was excellent. He had a very good patient manner and made me feel extremely at ease throughout the consultation. His assessment also came at a very timely manner and was very professional throughout. I would definitely recommend the service and Dr Ijaz to friends and family.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr Sijjad Ijaz. He was incredibly competent, understanding, and genuinely non-judgmental throughout the entire process. From the first moment, he made me feel comfortable and properly heard. What impressed me the most is how efficient he is. I received my full report, diagnosis, and prescription within days, everything was clear, thorough, and handled with real care. I’ve spent years masking ADHD symptoms in both motherhood and my professional life, so I honestly didn’t expect a clinician to truly understand what was happening beneath the surface. Dr Sijjad Ijaz did. He saw past the coping strategies, the over-functioning and the constant internal effort, and helped me make sense of patterns I’ve lived with my whole life, some of which I didn’t even realise were there. His approach is warm, validating and deeply knowledgeable. I felt safe, understood and not judged for a single moment, and it was clear he genuinely recognised how hard I’ve been trying to hold everything together. My diagnosis required a questionnaire to be repeated, and Dr Ijaz had the thought to have the admin team update me before the weekend. The impact of this small gesture was that I wasn’t left overthinking. As someone who is incredibly impatient, this made a big difference and showed me how much the clinic understands its patients. I also appreciated that he isn’t quick to prescribe medication. His approach is genuinely holistic, and I’ve been given a huge amount of material and guidance on ways I can support myself, and how to access local services to use alongside medication if I choose. The wider Harley Street Mental Health team have also been supportive, exceptionally responsive and professional. This experience has given me clarity, reassurance and a path forward that I finally feel hopeful about. I cannot recommend Dr Ijaz highly enough.
