South Coast CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) provides specialist private psychiatric services for children and young people on the South Coast of England. Led by Dr Reeves, a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who also works in the NHS, they offer expert ADHD and Autism assessment and treatment.
Assessment Process
- Initial 1.5-hour assessment with Dr Reeves to take full history and offer initial advice
- QB Check computerised assessment (20 minutes) to objectively measure ADHD symptoms
- Full diagnostic report with all assessments and findings
- School liaison included to advise on educational support
NICE-Compliant Standards
Their assessment process is recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence and will be equal or better than an NHS assessment.
Ethical Medication Practice
They only agree to start medication if the young person can be followed up for 12 months to ensure safe titration, normally involving about four reviews to check physical observations and get feedback.
Consultation Format
Assessments and follow-ups conducted via video or telephone, with face-to-face available on case-by-case basis.
