We had a private Autism and ADHD assessment completed with Autism North East for our son. The whole process from initial contact through to receiving the final report was smooth and quick, taking around 5-6 weeks for the assessments and the report issues 4 weeks after. The team are lovely and friendly and immediately tried to put my son at ease. If anyone is looking for a reliable and friendly team to carry out an assessment then I wholeheartedly recommend Autism North East.

ANE was recommended to me by another mam which I’m very thankful for as the process, care, support and detail has been amazing. Communication is excellent from start to finish, everyone involved with my son showed respect, care and such professionalism. Getting your child assessed is a hard, daunting experience but I felt at ease straight away. The report is very detailed, and whilst hard to read from a parents point of view, it is excellent and will help all those involved with my son. I can’t recommended them enough. Thank you to those involved in our case.

We were first signposted to Autism North East in Summer 2025 and were originally scheduled to have an initial appointment for a combined Autism and ADHD assessment in October 2025. Due to our child’s escalating needs, this appointment was brought forward, which immediately demonstrated the team’s responsiveness and understanding. From the very beginning, communication was exceptional. Every step of the process was clearly explained to us — who would be involved, what would happen, how long each stage would take, and where assessments would take place. This level of transparency allowed us to prepare properly and significantly reduced anxiety for both us and our child. The clinical team took the time to truly get to know our son and consistently adapted their approach to suit his individual needs. This included tailoring assessments and, when necessary, conducting some sessions at home to ensure he felt safe and comfortable. Their flexibility, compassion, and professionalism were evident throughout. We received a diagnosis in November, and Vikki took great care to talk us through each assessment and the final report in a thorough and reassuring way. The clarity and detail she provided helped us fully understand the outcomes and next steps. The final report itself has been praised by several professionals for its quality and depth. It has been successfully used as part of the EHCP assessment process, and CAMHS have accepted the report without issue — a testament to the high clinical standard of the service. From start to finish, we received outstanding care. Autism North East provided a service that was not only clinically excellent but also deeply caring and family-centred. We cannot recommend the Autism North East clinical team highly enough for their professionalism, compassion, and unwavering support throughout our journey.
