After having a very bad experience with ADHD Norfolk, my HR manager found Anchor for me and also recommended them as she had a relative who had dealt with them. All I can say is I could not afford to spend another £1000 for diagnosis and medication at the time, but I'm glad I did as I went from a 40 year old who felt like a 60 year old to feeling like a 25 year old. I used to be in constant pain and had zero drive or focus. The glass could be 3 quarters full and I would see it as quarter empty. Now the glass can be quarter full and I look forward to filling it. Thanks Dr. Jacobus, sorry it took a year to write a review, but I felt like this feeling couldn't possibly last, you turned my life around and I am forever grateful.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Nearney and the rest of the Anchor team. She was incredibly professional, friendly and compassionate throughout the whole process. I felt comfortable and validated throughout which was very helpful. I could not recommend these guys enough, particularly with NHS waiting lists at a record high, Anchor provide an excellent alternative option with competitive pricing. Thank you

I am so grateful for my experience of being treated by Hannah Nearney, one of the Psychiatrists at Anchor. It sounds over the top, but I truly believe that working with her enabled me to make progress that changed (or even 'saved') my life. She is extremely perceptive and knowledgeable, and she was the first professional who I feel 'saw' me. Her assessment, treatment and advice helped me to understand myself, access appropriate support for the first time, and ultimately feel/ function better than I ever thought I could. I don't really know how to communicate it best, but I could not hold her in higher regard :)

The booking team are very friendly and efficient. It is well worth the wait for your first appointment. The psychiatrist I've been seeing, Hannah Nearney, is passionately knowledgeable and very easy to talk to, providing sensible next steps after a diagnosis. She has catered to me as an individual, carefully considering the various things I have going on. She has also helped me understand more about neurodivergence. Claire, who coaches people with executive functioning difficulties, is also lovely. I haven't decided to go for this coaching (yet) because of the money, but found the free 20-minute talk with her helpful in itself for increasing my self-awareness about the things I struggle with, which are improving thanks to the medication Hannah has prescribed me and changes to my life she has empowered me to make, such as not overwhelming myself with too many commitments and having confidence in my own decisions.

Anchor is one of the worst psychiatry clinics I’ve come across. I suffer from severe and debilitating depression and have tried to take my own life multiple times and am trying to be evaluated for neurodivergence and get some help. I realised that public care would be impossible with waiting times and actual quality and so decided to go private. Anchor has said that they won’t cover neurodivergence and that we can’t claim it through our insurance provider and will have to pay on acceptance up front. They are also asking for £350 for the initial consultation and won’t even allow me to meet the psychiatrist they have assigned me with. For £350 you should be able to meet the psychiatrist beforehand, at the bare minimum be able to have a short video call. Furthermore, they then, after us accepting this £350 charge and trying to go through with it, said that suddenly the waiting list has changed and we are no longer able to book because we are apparently going to try and claim the fees with our insurance. They changed my waiting time at the very last min. They explained how this was told to me in January/February which is a complete lie. They have completely wasted my time and my mental conditions are getting exponentially worse and have been in and out of a and e for attempts on my own life. Anchor also has no proper contact method. You can’t go in and talk to someone because nobody is there unless their carrying out a session with a patient, they don’t answer the phone at all so good luck with that, but they do reply to emails but take 2-3 days to do so. Please do not waste your time going here. Anywhere else is better and personally I am choosing to go to skylight psychiatry instead.
