ADHD Assessment

Kim offers specialist assessments for ADHD for children, adolescents and adults. She is highly experienced in neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism and ADHD. Kim offers an initial pre-assessment consultation to consider whether an ADHD assessment is the most appropriate pathway for the young person, taking into account their developmental history, current difficulties and emotional and mental health needs.

ADHD assessments are comprehensive and multidisciplinary, involving both Clinical Psychology and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Mental health, developmental history and possible differential diagnoses are considered as an integral part of the assessment, rather than focusing on ADHD symptoms in isolation.

This collaborative approach also provides continuity following diagnosis, with a seamless pathway to discussing medication with our Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist should this be something the young person and their family wish to explore.

Professional Background

Kim has worked in the NHS since 2005 and received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Southampton University in 2010. She held a Principal Clinical Psychologist role within NHS CAMHS until 2019, working with complex cases across community and inpatient settings.
