The team were brilliant from my experience this year with an adult autism assessment. Throughout the whole process from email communication with Mary and Oni which was always compassionate, prompt and thorough. The face to face and virtual interviews were comprehensive, and during the assessment with Lucy she was very kind, perceptive and really helped me to settle into the process. All the stages were explained well, communication was great throughout, genuine care and professionalism was prolific throughout the whole process. Thanks specifically to Lucy, Oni and Jane who worked worked with me for my assessment

We recently went through the assessment process for my son, and I can honestly say the whole experience has been so positive. From the very beginning, we felt listened to and supported. Every step of the journey was explained clearly, and we always felt reassured. My son found some parts of the process difficult, but the team were so patient and understanding. They allowed him extra time and made the right adjustments so he could manage. This made such a difference and meant he was able to show his true abilities without feeling overwhelmed. The final report we received was comprehensive, detailed, and full of practical advice. It didn’t just give us a diagnosis: it gave us real insight into his strengths, challenges, and the strategies that will help him thrive. Most importantly, the support hasn’t stopped there. We’ve continued to receive guidance and reassurance as and when needed, and it feels like we have a team on our side who genuinely want to see my son succeed. We are so grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care shown throughout this journey. It has given us clarity, confidence, and hope for the future.

Cornwall Autism and Neurodevelopment have blown me away with the wonderful service that they have provided to myself and my son. From the very first email to them, all the way through to the diagnosis and feedback call they have been unbelievably thorough and extremely professional, whilst also maintaining compassion, understanding and immense care of the young people they are assessing. They say you get what you pay for these days, but with Cornwall Autism and Neurodevelopment you get a whole lot more. Every member of staff that I have dealt with has been truly wonderful, and they didn't hesitate to hold my hand throughout the process or answer any questions I had, nothing was too much trouble. My son had a truly horrendous assessment experience elsewhere but CAN have restored my faith in the process. They spent so much time with myself and my son, never once giving up until they knew he got the outcome (and the diagnosis) he deserved. They have so much experience in this field and they know exactly what they are looking for. They completely understand neurodivergence and they know that every single child they see is different and their own unique individual person. If you are looking for an ASD/ADHD assessment company for your child (or yourself) because the NHS service has let you down or you don't feel like you can wait then I would highly recommend you get in touch with CAN. Everyone you speak to will be friendly, compassionate, down to earth and will have so much knowledge and experience. The team at CAN were phenomenal from my first point of contact with them and throughout the whole process of diagnosing my young adult daughter. They assessed my daughter with great sensitivity, insight and expertise and were thoughtful, thorough and reassuring with me when taking her developmental history. They stayed in contact throughout the process and were swift with her assessment, enabling her to begin her second at university with an autism diagnosis and therefore a better understanding of the difficulties she had been facing.
