I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! The organization from start to finish is seamless, and the entire team is incredibly warm, kind, and genuinely human. Right from the moment you walk in, the environment makes you feel completely at ease and well cared for. The staff take all the time needed to listen, answer every question clearly, and explain things thoroughly. It makes a world of difference when a medical practice combines top-tier professionalism with real empathy.

I have attended The St Andrews Practice for therapy on and off for a long time, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I have always felt listened to, understood and completely supported. Helen is a fantastic psychologist and someone I have built a really good, trusting relationship with over the years. She always makes me feel comfortable and understood, and I genuinely leave the practice feeling like a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I have tried a range of different therapies during my time here and found EMDR particularly helpful. The service is also very flexible and accommodating, which has made such a difference. The practice itself doesn’t have that typical clinical feel you might expect. It is so welcoming, cosy and comfortable, which immediately helps you feel relaxed and at ease. I’m extremely grateful for all the support I have received. Definitely a 5-star practice and one I would highly recommend.

A very caring, compassionate and personal service. The more flexible you are the more accommodating the service can be. The first appointment allowed practitioner and patient family to explore the issues present and allow a plan to be put in place. There was no attempt to upsell, in fact we had to specifically ask for the assessment as the practice were happy to give advice rather than an expensive diagnosis if it was not required. It would have been better if pay up plans were available as the service is expensive but considering we had waited 5 years for the NHS to do nothing but refer us to websites and keep us on the list, we were left with no choice. The practitioners were able to meet with parents on video call and this allowed for meetings to be conducted during breaks at work, they listened attentively and allowed us to tell our story without it being a clinical ping pong of questions. A visit to the school and taking account of teachers views was also done but the real golden moment was when the professional could pick an assessment that was tailored to the feedback she received from the adults. This allowed my child to feel comfortable and to show their traits without being clammed up or scrutinised. We had an Autism assessment done that was selected due to his presentation. A more traditional assessment would have resulted in non participation and possibly non diagnosis. My child was so comfortable that he wanted to sit in on the feedback meeting (for a short while). Something he has never considered. Reports were generated quickly with deadlines being set based on child’s future pathway. Ie worked to a tight timescale to ensure professional advice was available for a transition in his schooling. Although further support that was recommended came at a cost, practitioners were realistic that it was not the correct time to give this input. They could have easily pushed forward on this for profit but clearly show caring values at their core. Overall, a positive experience with recommendations.

I sent an enquiry at the end of October 2025 after a doctor appointment got us wanting help quicker than the NHS for our 11 year old daughter . We heard back within a week and met with Dr Lelanie Brown not long after. All of the assessment appointments were completed before Christmas and we met with Lelanie and Kate in January 2026 for the outcome and diagnosis. Communicating easily through email when needed, a reply always had on the same day, even if it wasn’t one of their working days. At times, things didn’t make sense to us, Lelanie would always break it down into ways that we My daughter is an anxious little one and I was worried how she was going to manage being left with Kate for her 1-1 observation. I went away for a walk and when I came back I sat in a room opposite to where she was, I could hear her giggling and talking away. On our drive home I asked her how it was and she said it was fine which made me feel a bit better about leaving her. Kate done her observations through playing games and having little chats. Disappointingly, St Andrews Practice doesn’t prescribe medication for children so we had to go through a different practice for this. The St Andrews Practice diagnosis reports are accepted at many other practices so we didn’t have to go through the whole process again. Lelanie gave us lots of resources that we can use and always showed us care and compassion. I feel that we were listened to, something that we feel hadn’t been done before. My daughter masks all of her signs and symptoms which made us feel like we wouldn’t be believed. With their knowledge and expertise, the ladies seen what we see. We are very grateful that we were seen quickly by the ladies and we know that if we ever need to, we can drop them an email at anytime even tho our daughter isn’t under their care anymore. I would definitely recommend the St Andrews Practice to anyone who is looking for a private practice to use for their children.

Was unable to get an appointment after waiting for two weeks. After emailing to clarify, they told me I would need to wait an additional couple of weeks because my only available times were not convenient for them. Quite unprofessional and poor communication, would not recommend to anyone.
