The practice is led by Dr Stuart Gore, a highly experienced Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in the NHS and private sector. He is also an associate professor in counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Leeds.

ADHD Assessment Process

The comprehensive assessment includes:

• Pre-appointment questionnaires
• Collateral information from people who knew you in childhood and adulthood
• Detailed clinical interviews
• Mental health screening for related conditions (anxiety, OCD, etc.)
• Understanding your experience in more depth

Medication & Shared Care

Yorkshire Counselling Psychology has an in-house prescriber for medication management. They strongly encourage discussing shared care agreements with your GP before pursuing private assessment, as they can support transfer of prescribing to your GP where appropriate.
