Very disappointing experience with the ADHD titration service. I chose to use private healthcare because I expected a more efficient and supportive service, particularly when it comes to something as important as ADHD medication. I was diagnosed with ADHD privately and started the titration process. Initially, things seemed to be going well, but I was never properly explained how the prescription and titration process works, particularly what would happen when my initial medication supply ran out. As a result, I have now been without my ADHD medication for a week, which has made it significantly harder to concentrate, function normally and manage my work and everyday responsibilities. On 11 September, I received confirmation that my one-month prescription and titration had been booked. I was told that the prescription would be processed within 7 working days, provided the required form was completed. However, I have been left without medication while waiting for this process to happen. What is particularly frustrating is that the process was never clearly explained to me. Had I understood how the prescription system worked beforehand, I could have planned accordingly and avoided being left without medication. I have now contacted the service to explain the situation and asked for my prescription to be processed as quickly as possible and for confirmation of when I can expect it to be dispatched and delivered. I understand that private healthcare doesn’t mean prescriptions can be issued instantly, but when paying privately for ADHD treatment, I think it’s reasonable to expect clear communication, good organisation and continuity of care. At the moment, I feel very let down by the service. I really hope they resolve this quickly and improve their communication around prescriptions and titration so other patients aren’t put in the same position.

Terrible communication. The assessment went OK but my last request for prescription has been ignored and nobody is responding to emails or phone for 2 weeks.

Mypace have been truly awful with communication. When your psychiatrist misses your appointment and the receptionist hangs up on you it's bad enough. When thier manager fails to call you back after several attempts it maybe tells you all you need to know. In addition there is now a really strong chance they have gone bust. This is the second mental health provider that has hone bust on us. Costing thousands snd still no mental health help

I paid privately for an adult ADHD assessment and have been left exhausted by the delays, unclear process, and lack of accountability. Communication was consistently poor over many months, with repeated chasing required to get any response. On multiple occasions I was told documents would be sent “tomorrow/tonight/next week”, but nothing arrived without further follow-ups. A major issue was the assessment methodology and resulting report. It was highlighted that no formal clinician-led diagnostic interview was clearly documented, with the report relying heavily on screening questionnaires rather than a recognised adult ADHD diagnostic tool. Despite DIVA-5 being the appropriate structured diagnostic interview for adult ADHD, I was initially asked to print and self-complete the older DIVA-2, and later asked to subscribe and pay to access the DIVA-5 myself and complete it independently. This was unexpected and inappropriate for a private, clinician-administered assessment. Eventually, the DIVA-5 interview was conducted with me at the end of October. However, despite repeated follow-ups, I am still waiting for the corresponding diagnostic report to be provided. I also had serious concerns about the professionalism of the assessment appointment itself. My experience was that the clinician appeared disengaged during the consultation (including checking her phone throughout), which left me feeling that I was not being taken seriously. I escalated concerns to the owner/clinical lead due to the circumstances, but the response and follow-through were extremely disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this service based on my experience — long waits, inconsistent communication, and an assessment process that created additional stress rather than clarity or support. I would not recommend this service. How am I supposed to trust my diagnosis is correct?
