AVOID DR. ANSHUL SWAMI LIKE THE PLAGUE: He is very active in reporting his patients to police, child protection, dvla, hmrc, etc. but he is utterly useless at everything else. Dr. Swami puts zero effort into his patients and is a miserable git who does not stay updated on scientific literature (ex. he doesn't believe in ADHD) Dr.Swami lacks the competency, maturity and skills required to help his patients. Dr. Anshul Swami is very sneaky/dodgy because he prescribes courses of medicine that exceed hospital stays in a ploy to make patients stay longer (i.e pay more). The other psychiatrists at Nightingale are far better so do not get stuck with Dr. Swami and if you do, ask to change immediately. He will make mistakes that affect your future but his brittle ego will prevent him from admitting any faults. Dr.Swami is a sad little man who needs psychiatric help himself.

I was recently admitted to the 'House of Horrors' Eating Disorder Unit at the Nightingale Hospital. My condition deteriorated SEVERELY during my admission, and I became significantly more malnourished than when I was first admitted. It was only picked up on by staff when I blacked out and smashed my face into a door needing to be rushed to A&E. I was unnecessarily physically handled on multiple occasions as an (informal) patient. I was told I was only allowed to shower twice a week under supervision to limit burning calories from standing up. Water intake in the unit is heavily restricted, prohibiting access to fluids, leaving medically vulnerable patients at high risk of dehydration. A policy that denies free access to hydration felt inhumane. During a psychiatric crisis, I was assigned to 1-to-1 supervision but was left alone for extensive periods of time repeatedly. I had a self inflicted incident at a time I was meant to be under (constant) supervision, and did not get a response from staff on duty for 50 minutes, despite calling for help and activating the emergency alarm. The delayed response and lack of timely medical attention left me with infections and scarring. My confidential information was disclosed to a family member without my knowledge or consent. The consequences were catastrophic. The fallout triggered a severe psychotic episode that ultimately led to me being sectioned. A reckless breach of confidentiality that almost cost me my life. The only reason I was unable to self discharge from the hospital sooner was because I was sectioned. My sectioning was ultimately a direct consequence of the severe distress caused by what I experienced in this hospital, NOT from my illness. Consisting of dishonesty, negligence, breaches of trust, humiliation, psychological suffering and a profound disregard for my mental and physical wellbeing.

I had a very disappointing experience with Nightingale Hospital London. Despite charging premium fees, the level of support and practical guidance provided did not meet expectations. Additionally, the administrative experience was frustrating. Appointment confirmations and Zoom links were often sent at the last minute, creating unnecessary stress and uncertainty. A proper calendar booking system or advance meeting invites should be standard, especially at this price point. Overall, the service felt unorganized and not worth the high cost. I would not recommend it based on my experience.

I recently attended Nightingale Hospital after being recalled following a recent routine mammogram. I was absolutely beside myself with worry and when I arrived I advised that I suffered with anxiety and panic attacks and my levels were through the roof. The staff were so kind, patient and caring and reassured me through every proceedure. Lucky it turned out to be a cyst and this was dealt with during my visit. I honestly can't thank the nurses and doctors enough, you do an amazing job, keep up the good work. Thank you again. x

I can’t thank all the staff at the Nightingale enough for my experience in a 28 day treatment programme. The range of sessions, assignments, and treatment has been well thought out and very impactful. The facilities are great and the catering is delicious. I feel transformed and highly recommend if you’re looking for the same care. Thanks again!
