Had an assessment for ASD and ADHD for my daughter yesterday (09/11/2025) in the Colchester assessment centre. What a fantastic service and what a fantastic experience. Honestly can not fault them. Dr Sanjay Thomas was incredible during the whole ASD assessment for our 17 year old at Colchester in May . We were immediately put at ease and made to feel very welcome. I feel the assessment was carried out professionally and all our initial questions were answered on the day. Charlotte and Louise assisted and we also Spoke with Charlotte afterwards who was very kind. The environment was calm and we really felt as though we were listened to and not rushed during the appointment. What I really appreciated the most was the time Dr Thomas spent with our son, chatting with him with genuine interest and dealing with him in a kind, understanding , caring manor at the end of the assessment. We came away feeling a lot more positive about the future and are looking forward to receiving the report. We feel we have some support at last! I plan to continue to use the services of Provide Wellbeing for guidance in next steps once the report is issued. You have no idea how much you have helped us . Thank you !

Our son was accepted in April for an Autism assessment. I called up a month ago to check in and make sure he was still on the waiting list/as well as receiving the questionnaire forms okay as they didn’t confirm receipt once I returned them. The lady said yes, just to keeping waiting for his appointment to come through. We received a letter end of last week saying they’ve had a contract/funding issue and that he is no longer on their intake list. We now have to start from scratch. 5/6 months of sitting around waiting for an appointment has just completely been wasted because of incompetence. Shameful service.

I was accepted in May for my son to have an autism assessment through their right to choose process. This week (October) I received a letter stating their contract with the NHS right to choose ended in June and they have removed us from their waiting list. Now I have to start all over again with another company! There are some things that I nor my son's school cannot access without his diagnosis. If they knew their contract was up then why did they accept us knowing they couldn't fulfil it?

I would not recommend Provide Wellbeing for ADHD assessment under any circumstances. After multiple recommendations and the NHS referral pathway being closed, we decided to part with £1200 to have the assessment performed by Provide Wellbeing. All started well with polite staff and lots of information. We were told it would take up to 4 weeks from triage to the assessment and then 2 weeks for the report. At 4 weeks we had not received an assessment date never mind had the actual assessment so we called to chase this up. We were told that the person triaging was off sick. We then got a call the next day with an appointment which was a cancellation and in 10 days time. Great news we though! The 'assessment' was an absolute joke. The consultant asked my son how he was and what he likes at school, the conversation took 5mins at a maximum. He then spent 45mins telling me about ADHD and explaining why my son struggles with writing (which he does not). The consultant told us again that we would get the report in the next two weeks. Two weeks came and went so I called Provide Wellbeing for an update. I was greeted by an incredibly rude man who seemed put out that we had paid at all and kept referencing the number of people waiting on the NHS. He told me that I was lying, nobody would have told us the report would be done within 2 weeks and the wait is actually 6-8 weeks. So we went on with waiting. 5 weeks later we received the report. The report consisted of a copy and paste of our answers to the questionnaires and 3 sentences from the consultant about his 'conversation' with my son. The 'advice' was not tailored at all, standard advice that is available on the NHS website, even including behaviours that my son does not display. I cannot fathom how this process has cost £1200. In total, there is no more than 3 hours work and most of it is general admin or copy and pasting. To charge anybody the money they do is taking advantage of parents who have nowhere else to turn. I feel so upset that we parted with this very hard earned money for something that has not and will not help my son. Please avoid using this company, please look for other recommendations or wait on the NHS, it just isn't worth it.
