My experience has been quite inconsistent. The initial assessment process was efficient, taking around three months to arrange, despite my GP taking three months to send the referral (which was not the Owl Centre’s fault). The assessment itself was excellent, and this is the only reason I have given the Owl Centre two stars. The assessor made me feel supported, listened to, and comfortable discussing my difficulties, and they allowed me plenty of time to take breaks and ask questions. However, the service following the assessment has been extremely disappointing. I was placed on the titration waiting list and informed that the wait would be approximately six months. In early October, I received several forms, which I completed within an hour. The Owl Centre also requested a medical summary from my GP. When I contacted my surgery a week later, they informed me they had not received any request. I then confirmed that the email address provided was correct, as the practice had previously received my assessment documents in March. My GP subsequently sent the medical summary to the medication email address given, but the Owl Centre stated they had still not received it—despite my GP confirming they had sent it twice. Eventually, I was advised by the Owl Centre to obtain the medical summary myself and send it directly, which I did. After this, I was told only that I was “on a waiting list” and would be contacted once a clinician became available. I have now been waiting significantly longer than the original six-month timeframe, and the Owl Centre has refused to provide any meaningful updates. The only response I receive is the same blanket statement: “You are on a waiting list and will be contacted when an appointment is available.” As someone diagnosed with OCD and inattentive ADHD, this lack of clear communication and absence of approximate timelines causes unnecessary stress, anxiety, and fixation on the issue. It does not feel like an appropriate or supportive way to handle communication with patients who rely on clarity and transparency. At the time of writing this review, I am still waiting to hear back regarding an appointment.

This set up doesnt even deserve a 1 star! Our grandson in our care was referred to this place by a paediatric consultant in Hampshire when we lived there. Through no fault of our own we had to move to a different part of the UK but his consultant wanted them to finalise his assessment as he is severky autistic. We completed several questionnaires and had just 1 appointment pending for his final diagnosis for the much needed confirmation he needed to get him the help he so desperately needs. I advised them we had moved out of area but we're happy to travel back on several occasions and continued to work with them..in February they were sent a letter from. his school, his Hampshire consultant and an educational psychologist to speed up the process as his condition was now affecting his younger sibling! I emailed and emailed and emailed with no one bothering to reply I called them.and the phone was answered by the same woman I had been emailing To be told they could no longer treat him because we had moved, I was told they had written to me at my old address in Hampshire to say that as we no longer lIved in the area he would be discharged???? Why write to me in Hampshire to tell me I had moved out of the area???? Absolute joke they clearly don't care about the welfare of the child and they fail to follow a highly qualified consultant in paediatrics I wouldt trust them with my dog let alone a vulnerable child!! Disgusting service i bet they would have seen him if we had paid Luckily within a week.we met a paediatrician in our new area who was appalled with what they had done and gave him his diagnosis the same day! This will be sent to CQC along with all paperwork and email trails DO NOT TRUST THIS BUNCH OF CHARLATANS WITH ANY VULNERABLE PERSON

Ridiculous! Was transferred to owl centre from Pysicon. Called to check they had received my child's referral as hadn't heard a peep from them since the referral was transfer from Pysicon. It was received! but basic communication such as an email to patients waiting confirming referral was received would be nice and very much expected. Then I ask for a rough time frame of when we'd be seen for an autism assessment and they refuse to even give you a basic time frame. So now we are stuck on what seems like an endless waiting list for an autism assessment. I Chose right to chose for my child because the NHS had long waiting times but it seems we'll be waiting even longer now. Giving a very basic timeframe such as 6-9 months or 9-12 months waiting time is also very much expected and something that all other companies give as standard to their waitlist patients. This company really doesn't fill me with confidence and so far very unimpressed by their practices. Avoid and choice another provide!!

We decided to contact these people after our 2.5 year olds nursery suggested we get some support from a speech development specialist. We received a message from Owl to say that we would be provided with available dates. We never heard anything from them again which filled us with ZERO confidence in this establishment and we have since gone elsewhere. I have also notified our Stratford upon Avon based nursery about this issue..

This practice is appalling, in every aspect. They have recently completed an assessment on my daughter for autism and disregarded any information or communication provided to them in favour of their mother, a known liar to authorities. They’ve taken the easy was in conducting this assessment without going through the past experiences of how my daughter has managed to get where she is today. Nicola made me aware my daughters mother was a safeguarding concern after listening to me, this was later rejected and disregarded in favour of completing a report. The assessment is bias, untrue and completed by people who quite righty aren’t professional. If your child is in a similar situation and being referred here, ask to change, please.
