I had my ADHD assessment with the West Midlands Autism & ADHD Assessment Service and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. I was really nervous going in, but the team instantly put me at ease - it’s such a calming environment and I felt a safe space, they were calm, kind, and really reassuring throughout the whole process & felt like I was meant to be there and reassured of why I applied, What I found especially helpful was the way they asked the questions guided me through each step and gave me space to talk things through at my own pace. They helped me re-jog my memory on things I’d forgotten to mention or hadn’t realised were relevant, that plus the relatable conversations n laughs about the situation n my symptoms made me feel really understood and supported. Overall, it felt like such a safe environment, and I came away feeling much clearer and more confident about my diagnosis no matter the results I get. I’m so grateful for the way they handled everything - it made what could have been a really overwhelming experience feel manageable and positive.
